Fujifilm With Me On The Streets

Street photography is a genre that revolves around human experience. It is usually made in a public place and, while people are not a required subject in the scene, it always includes a human element of some kind, or evidence of human presence.

Fujifilm X30

The Fujifilm X30 is a solid choice for street photography, especially if you value a compact and versatile camera. It features a fast zoom lens (28-112mm equivalent), a high-resolution electronic viewfinder, and a tilting LCD screen, making it quite capable of capturing candid moments. However, other Fujifilm models/series are often considered superior for street photography due to their larger sensors and more advanced features.

Some of the top Fujifilm cameras for street photography include:

  • Fujifilm X100 series: Known for its compact size, 35mm-equivalent fixed lens, and hybrid viewfinder, it’s highly regarded for street photography.
  • Fujifilm X-Pro series: Offers an interchangeable lens system with a rangefinder-style design, making it versatile and discreet.
  • Fujifilm X-E series: A compact and lightweight mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses, ideal for street photography.
  • Fujifilm XF10: A pocketable camera with a fixed 28mm-equivalent lens, perfect for capturing wide street scenes

While the X30 is a great camera, these models might offer more flexibility and higher image quality, depending on your specific needs and preferences. Do you have a particular feature or style you’re looking for in a street photography camera?

The Fuji Experience

One of the reasons I got into Fuji is because of the user experience. My XT1 (my favorite) allows me to customize it to my liking. It has plenty of buttons and dials to make a top notch user experience.

The Fujifilm X30 is like my X-T1 and X100s had a baby. It’s a point and shoot with fast zoom lens, electronic viewfinder, tilt screen, WIFI, and lots of customization. The camera is a bit larger and reminiscent of the X100 series more than the average point and shoot. This makes the handling great.
